William “Bill” Addy Jr
William “Bill” Addy Jr., 87, fell asleep in death on July 14, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor, as well as an adopted dad and granddad to many.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 720 Crestline Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917.

Bill was married to his loving wife, Barbara “Barb” Addy, for nearly 18 years, and they made their home together in Colorado Springs. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Addy; his parents, Bill and Eloise Addy; his brother, James Addy; and his sister, Joyce Perdue.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barb; his daughter, Laura Murdock and her husband, Jason, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his son, Will Addy and his wife, Amy, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and three grandchildren. He was also a cherished brother, father, and grandfather to a large stepfamily who loved him dearly. He will be deeply missed as his family and friends look forward to the promised resurrection described at Acts 24:15.

Bill was born in Wisconsin and lived in several places throughout the Midwest before settling in Colorado Springs in the late 1960s. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and generously volunteered much of his time to teaching others about the Bible. He loved attending congregation meetings with friends whom he considered family, and he shared his faith whenever he had the opportunity.

Throughout his life, Bill sold Ford automobiles, operated a custom upholstery business, and owned a boat dealership through the late 1980s. He later ran a successful health insurance business for more than 35 years, continuing to work until recent changes in his health made it necessary for him to stop.

Bill enjoyed riding horses, fishing, and helping others. He was especially known for his generosity, his kindness to strangers, and his willingness to make others feel welcomed and cared for. His faith, warmth, and loving spirit touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew him.
