Linda “Jamie “ Evans was born on November 4th 1947 in Austin, Texas. She’s the daughter of

Carroll and Joy Roland, who preceded her in death. Jamie is survived by her daughter Amy

(Shantel) Evans, two sons Kyle Roland & Andrew (Sarah) Evans, and brother Carroll Roland.

She is also survived by grandchildren Kyler and Kaitlyn Roland, as well as Shelby and Silas

Evans. Jamie has many nieces and nephews that she adored, as well as her sister in law,

Nadine. She also has numerous friends that she considered family in both Colorado and

Missouri.

Jamie attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, where she

graduated in 1989 with a degree in Social Work.. She went on to attend the University of

Missouri in Columbia, MO, where she earned her Masters degree in Medical Social Work.

Jamie worked for Cox hospitals in the dialysis clinic for many years and later, for the social

security office in Springfield. Jamie had a wonderful, relatable sense of humor that

resonated with those around her. Her clients enjoyed her kindness, compassion, and way

she always made time for aftercare plans and needs.

Jamie was a fun-loving person and she lived life on her own terms. She loved to travel to

new places, but the mountains were always her favorite. Her personal motto was “not all

who wander are lost.” She was always up for an adventure when her friends and family

would call, or to offer a laugh. Jamie had been battling illness for the past two years, but her

fight to “get back to normal” ended on September 20, 2024 – a beautiful fall afternoon with

a Denver Broncos colored sky.

We will all miss Jamie, our sassy and fun-loving friend very much, as she was taken away

from us too soon.
