1957 ~ 2018

In Loving Memory

Henry “Hank” Koziol long time resident of Colorado Springs, CO, returned to his heavenly home surrounded by his family on August 10, 2018.  Hank is survived by his Mother, Barbara; his Wife, Joan (nee Luker); his Son, Kyle; his Sister, Maria Petkash; by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.  He is predeceased by Father Stanley J. and his brother Stanley M.

Hank was born a first generation American in Newark, NJ in 1957 to Polish parents Stanley and Barbara Koziol. He grew up in Perth Amboy, NJ, and graduated from St. Mary’s HS.  He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1978-1983.  He married Joan in 1979 at McGuire AFB.  Their son Kyle was born in 1980 at Eglin AFB.  Shortly after his honorable discharge from the USAF he went to work for MCI for 18 years.  In 2002 Hank became an independent contractor until he lost his sight to early macular degeneration.

Hank was a devoted husband and father who could never tell a short story.  He spent his last years enjoying listening to music, keeping up on latest technology, dabbling in the stock market, vacationing with his wife, caring for his family and home, training his dogs Stuka and Newton.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Please Join Hank’s family at one of the two services honoring his life.
