Ronald D. Landes 79, of Colorado Springs died May 18, 2020 at home. He was born April 18, 1941 in Coffey, Missouri to Walter and Frances Landes. He married Linda Ladenburger on May 20, 1967 in Mendota, Illinois. He graduated from Dixon High School in 1959. Then attended Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois, graduating in 1963. Worked at Dixon State School, meeting Linda in fall of 1966. Moved to Colorado in summer of 1970 and in January 1971 attended graduate school at University of Northern Colorado. Graduated with Honors in 1973 and moved to Denver working for Denver Health and Hospitals. Moved to Colorado Springs in Spring of 1979 and started the Old Town Learning Center with Linda until 1996. Later worked part time for Myron Stratton Home retiring in 2011. He enjoyed woodworking, hiking, bicycling and traveling the world. Ronald is survived by his wife Linda, sister Beverly and four nephews Terry, Larry, Tim and Leslie. Ronald will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice for their excellent care. Celebration of Life at later date.
