In Loving Memory of James (Jim) Vern Torgerson
James (Jim) Vern Torgerson was born on February 9, 1949, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Harry and Leora (Zierke) Torgerson. He passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, at Memorial Central in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harry and Leora. He is survived by his brother, Gary Torgerson; his sister-in-law, Debbie Torgerson; his nieces, Heather Torgerson and Jamie (Torgerson) Clayton; and his dear friend, Rosa Kleweno.
Jim cherished time spent with those close to him, especially enjoying get-togethers with his sister-in-law and nieces, as well as the friendship and companionship of Rosa.
He found great joy in volunteering at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, where he enjoyed sharing his time and giving back. Jim also treasured the peace and quiet of mountain living, finding happiness in the beauty of nature and the slower pace of life.
Jim will be remembered for the simple pleasures he enjoyed, the friendships he valued, and the time he shared with those who were part of his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
