Judy Viola Baca Lucero, 69, passed away on September 26, 2026. She was born on February 12, 1957, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Eddie and Julia Baca.
Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She raised her three children in Colorado Springs before moving to Shamrock, Texas, where she spent the last 20 years surrounded by her friends and her grandchildren.
Judy’s family was the center of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, she loved watching football and hosting football parties with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Dina Baca, Gilbert II Lucero (Janice), and Eddie Lucero (Theresa); her beloved Bitzy; sisters Connie Martinez, Tee Tee (Liz) Gallegos, and Betty Lucero; grandchildren Karen, Tre, Xavier, Genesis, Joziah, Isaiah, and Julia; and a great-granddaughter on the way.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Julia Baca; brother Tony Griego; and sisters Annie Gallegos and Lorraine Gallegos.
Judy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her greatest legacy is the love she gave her family and the memories she leaves behind.
