Stacy Leigh Dusch

Stacy Leigh Dusch, 68, of Pleasant Hills, PA (currently Colorado Springs, Colorado), passed away on August 15, 2026. Born on February 17, 1958, in Waverly, Tennessee, to the late Clyde Koontz and Winifred Koontz (Brittingham), Stacy lived a life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to the people around her. A 1976 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Stacy went on to build a career as a caregiver that spanned more than 40 years. She was exceptional at what she did, and her time working at Mainstay brought her not only purpose but lifelong friendships that meant the world to her. Beyond her professional life, she served as a cheerleading coach at Pleasant Hills Middle School, pouring her energy and encouragement into the young people in her community. Stacy’s whole world was her two children, Brandon and Brittany. She never missed a game, a competition, or a phone call. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Conner and Kamdyn, who brought endless light to her life. She loved to cook, but nothing compared to the joy she found in being surrounded by her family. Anyone who knew Stacy knew her contagious laugh, her loving nature, her stubbornness, and her incredible dedication. She was always giving, and she fought until the very end. Stacy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark Koontz. She is survived by her son, Brandon Gregg Dusch; her daughter, Brittany Lacher Hopkins (Kenyon); and her grandchildren, Conner Brandon Dusch, Kamdyn Leigh Hopkins. There will be no funeral services per Stacy’s wishes. May she find peace on the other side. I will meet you by the river, Mom.
