Maurice Akeem Young passed away suddenly July 21, 2026. He was born in Colorado Springs
on July 1, 1992 to Everett Earl Young Jr and Jennifer Hare.
Maurice later moved to Florida where he completed middle and high school and some college.
His passion for cooking was immense and his goal was to become someone great in the
culinary field. Everyone who had his cooking can attest to his natural talent in the kitchen.
In Maurice’s adult life he split time between Colorado and Florida. He became a loving and
loyal father on July 30, 2015. He enjoyed time with his daughter and was proud of the things he
taught her such as trying new foods and showing kindness to animals.
Maurice leaves to cherish his memories: His daughter, Zariah Young. His parents, Jennifer
Tuggerson and Everett Earl Young Jr., Grandparents, Margaret and Terry Hoadley and Everett
Earl Young Sr., brother Marquis Williams, sisters Sheyla and Alyshah Young as well as the
favorite Great Auntie, Donna Welch. Maurice has a host of aunts, uncles and cousins with a
special mention to his aunts Carlita Phillips, Laura Young and cousin Daytwan Shirley.
