Charmaine Elizabeth Barney died peacefully at the age of 93 on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was born on April 26, 1931, in Dubuque Iowa to Elizabeth and Al Rieselman who are also deceased. Charmaine attended the University of Wisconsin where she studied medicine. She was married for 53 years to William James Barney, who proceeded her in death in 2009. Charmaine is survived by her seven children: Kevin, Craig (Marla), Dr. Brent (Tina), Brad (Donna), Bill (Loretta), David (Toni), and daughter Sharyl (Robert) Haskin, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She gave all of herself to her family, and anyone in need. She will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Thursday February 13, 2025 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Dr, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918. A rosary will be prayed at 9:15 am, a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. and a reception at 11:00 a.m. She will be interred at Pikes Peak National Cemetery along with her husband at 2 p.m. If anyone wishes, and in lieu of flowers, you can donate to EWTN or the Marian House in Colorado Springs.
