Travis Courtney Noyd, 50, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed unexpectedly on Monday November 6, 2023. He attended Sandwich High School and graduated from Wareham High School in Massachusetts in1991.

Travis endeared himself to others with his characteristic humor, wit, and charm. He was compassionate, charismatic, creative, and sensitive with a glowing spirit. His curious nature lent itself to investigate nature, politics, and the spiritual realm. He lived a life filled with the challenges of learning new occupations. He trapped lobsters and became an exceptional cook while living in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Deciding that Vermont was a great place to continue his proficiency as a black diamond skier, he worked at Mount Snow Resort while becoming renowned for his creative recipes at a local restaurant. He helped plan and build a golf course there as well. Moving onto Minnesota, he operated snow equipment at Afton Alps and was well known by the clientele for his large snow sculptures.  He moved onto Colorado where he honed his skills as a corporate and residential landscaper. He created exquisite landscape designs for many homeowners. He contributed his talent to the beautiful stone walls that can be seen around Colorado Springs businesses.

Travis is survived by his rescue dog, 10-year-old chihuahua Gizmo who was his constant companion; his loving parents Susan and Robert Noyd of Monument, Colorado, his sister, Kim Sluis of Windsor, Colorado, Michelle Tusini, his lifelong loving friend and mother of their daughter, Carrie Noyd, his daughters, MacKenzie Noyd of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bryanna and Courtney Noyd of Vermont, his grandfather, Ken Noyd of Bath, Maine, as well as his uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his daughter, Carrie Noyd of Falmouth, Massachusetts, his father, James Gard of Florida, his grandparents, Gloria and James Coviello and Robert Jones, and his grandmother Nancy Noyd.

A celebration of his life will be held in Falmouth, Massachusetts during the summer of 2024 where he will rest alongside his best friend and loving daughter, Carrie.

Travis’s loving spirit will remain in our hearts forever. If you would like to make any contribution in his name, he would appreciate a donation to any rescue organization or humane society of your choice.
