Alexis Avila entered our world on March 29, 1999, and departed on July 29, 2023, at the age of 24. Raised by his mother, Rosalia Alma Avila, he grew up with his siblings Emmanuel Calvin Luna and Solissa Starr Luna. Raul Luna, Jr. took him as his own and he was loved as if he were his own child.
A beautiful soul with the biggest heart, he would give his shirt off his back and shoes off his feet to anyone in need. He loved to bless his family, especially his niece, Azalia Mikaela Obando-Luna. Together they would venture off into the wild, constantly laughing and clowning around together always. Please pray for her, as he was her best friend in the whole wide world and was like a father to her, and her life (and ours) is forever changed without him.
Alexis was a gifted musical artist, and had been invited to the U.K. and Switzerland, to showcase his music. He had received this recognition under his performance name, Agustus Snow.
Alexis loved his Abuelita Dolores Avila Martinez and Lito Alejandro Martinez. Although he never met his Abuelito Florentino Avila Ramirez, he was just like him in so many ways, even singing the same songs while walking across a room, just as he would. He loved his extended family, all his aunts and uncles, especially his favorite cousin, Sara Mascarenas. Lex also leaves behind his best friend/brother Josiah Delgado, whom he loved so very much. Together they made so many memories and created some truly amazing music together.
Lex also loved his Fuentes family, every one of them that he got to know, his brother Aaron, two sisters and all the fun cousins who loved him.
Alexis also leaves behind the love of his life, baby Aires, who was born July 14, 2023. He had graduated from a Nurturing Father’s class, was so excited to love and care for her and was hoping to be the “best father ever” to this baby he loved so much. Sadly, his pain and heartache got the best of him in that moment in time that can never be taken back, but he lives on through her and she will forever have his love and all of ours, too.
Alexis’ Candlelight Memorial Service will be held August 26th, at 6:30 p.m., rain or shine, at the Green Vally Ranch Amphitheater, 4890 Argonne Way, Denver, CO 80249. Please bring candles, lighters, chairs and blankets, umbrellas and any picnic items you might like to share.
