With heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss, we announce the passing of Rod Wiebe, a man whose legacy is etched in the structures he built and the lives he touched. He departed this world on August 10, leaving behind a tapestry of memories and an indomitable spirit that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Born on 09/20/1956, Rod was a beacon of determination and strength throughout his life. He pursued his passion for professional home design through NightHawk Design with unwavering dedication, crafting buildings that stood not only as testaments to his skill but also as expressions of his character – resolute, unyielding, and pragmatic. He believed in the power of design to shape environments and influence lives, a belief that he infused into every project he undertook.
Rod was not just a home designer, but a mentor and guiding force for his three sons, who will always remember his tough love and unshakable principles. He instilled in them the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of setting high standards for oneself. His lessons, though demanding, were a reflection of his love and desire to see them succeed.
His stern exterior was balanced by a heart that cared deeply for his family, including his sons, beloved mother, cherished brother, and adored sisters. He was a protector and provider, a man whose sacrifices and unspoken gestures spoke volumes of his commitment to those he held dear. His friendship was a gift to many, and his camaraderie was valued by colleagues who admired his no-nonsense approach to life and work.
Rod’s legacy transcends the tangible structures he created. He leaves behind a community of friends and colleagues who respected his tenacity and admired his achievements. His passion for life and dedication to his craft have left an indelible mark on the world of architecture and the countless lives he impacted.
As we bid farewell to Rod, let us remember the lessons he imparted, the memories he gifted us, and the inspiration he provided. In this time of mourning, may we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through the structures he designed, the values he instilled, and the love he shared.
He is survived by his sons, Bryan, Greg (Lelah), Chris (Megan), his grand-daughters Bailey & Elliott, his mother Della, his brother Scott (Linda), his sisters Teri (Brad), Sandi (Ed), and a multitude of friends and colleagues who will forever hold him in their hearts.
