Rose Marie “Ree” Barrett

June 2nd 1935-May 3rd. 2023.

Rose Marie Barrett, daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Trujillo) Sanchez, passed away at her home on May 3rd. 2023 at the age of 87. 

 Ree was a long time resident of Colorado Springs. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado on June 2nd. 1935.  

Ree never had a bad word to say about anyone and had a wicked sense of humor. She was the most generous and nonjudgmental person you would ever want to know.  She loved to write and spent her last days writing anything and everything. Found in the writings of her last days was the following “I’ll take your love with me and I’ll leave my love with you”            

She is survived by her 3 children Ken (Beth), Lani (Mike) and Kevin, grandchildren Travis, Taylor-Marie, Brian, Josh, Chastity and Rachelle, numerous great grandchildren to include the loves of her life Jeffrey and Billy. She is also survived by her nieces Melodee, Casey and nephew Don. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved son Keith, her parents, two sisters, grandson Anthony, and niece Sandra.  

At Ree’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
