Kenneth James Montoya – 75 passed away March 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born June 9, 1947 in Del Norte Colorado  he was the oldest son of Christopher and Nadine Montoya who preceded him in death. His oldest son, Dwayne Montoya also preceded him in death. 
He is survived by 3 sons, their families and his eldest sons 2 children Nicholas,  and Brittany Williams.

His son Jason Montoya and his children Ryan Laughlin, Robert Greigo, Breanna Montoya, and Christopher Montoya. 
His son James and Jamie Montoya and their 4 sons
Tyler, Braden, Alex, and Conner Montoya. 
He is also survived by his sister Christine Jacobson and his sister
Alyse Bravo and one brother Christopher Montoya.
He had 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He spent the last 2 years living in Pueblo with Kelly and Michelle.
Ken began his life as the son of a rancher who raised sheep in the San Luis Vally. Where he exceeded in basketball, and cross country while in high school. After getting married he moved to Leadville where he had his 4 boys and began working at a printing company before working at The Climax Mine as a supervisor. Once the mine closed he moved to Colorado Springs where he worked for Vickers. He then moved to Denver and worked at Safeway and Jackson ice-cream where he retired.  After retirement he moved back to the San Luis Vally for 10 years before living in Pueblo for the last 2 years. He loved westerns and all sports which he watched all the time. 
Cremation has been chosen.
