Steve was predeceased by his father, Lloyd Ervin Binder, and both sets of grandparents.

Steve was born at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO, where he grew up and he attended Agape Fellowship Christian school in Green Mountain Falls, CO. After graduation, Steve joined the U.S. Army, serving from 1991 to 1998 as an aircraft electrician, working on Apache and other Army helicopters. He then spent 15 years working at New Life Church, where he also worshipped and met many close friends.

Steve was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions. He was a jokester, always laughing and making others laugh at his silly antics. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, cooking over an open fire and all things nature. He loved riding his motorcycle, going on adventures and spending time with his life-long friends, Zane Whitfield, Mitch Wicklund, Mike Bloss and their families. He loved hanging out with his Old Chicago family, playing pool, watching sports, telling stories and entertaining everybody with his playful nature.

One of Steve’s favorite things was the family’s annual trip to North Dakota, where they would spend time fishing, playing board games, holey hoe and enjoying the farm life. Steve will be missed and always remembered by his North Dakota family, including his Aunt Jeanette and Uncle Mike, Aunt Linda, Aunt Luella, Aunt Marj, Cousins Lynette, Marshall, Stephanie and her son Tristan, John, Mary and Jeremy.

Steve was a beautiful, kind and generous person who made friends wherever he went. He had a brilliant smile that lit up a whole room and made you smile too. He cared deeply for the people around him, had a huge heart and would do anything to help anybody. Steve made an impact on many lives and he will be forever remembered, loved and missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Until we meet again.
