Juana Ontiveros (Janie)
Juana Ontiveros entered heaven in her sleep, surrounded by her loving family, on 25th August. Born in 1938, Juana lived in Colorado Springs with her daughter. She was the daughter of Febronio and Eufemia Navarro. Juana was born on May 16th, 1938, in Fabens, TX. Juana is survived by her children Eddie Ontiveros, David J. (Gloria Ontiveros), Yvonne Beltran, Mark Ontiveros (Bonnie Soliz), her grandchildren Richard, Katelyn, Nicholas, Cassidy, David Jr, Missy, Adrian, Charity, Jessica, Marky, Andrew, Christian, Jennifer, and Jacob, as well as many, loved great-grandchildren and numerous loved nieces, nephews, and long time friends. She is also survived by her siblings Margarita Velasquez, Frances N. Munoz, and Felipe Navarro, while preceded in death by siblings Andrea Navarro, Soledad Navarro, Carlos Navarro, Maria Dominguez, Maria Louisa Vasquez, Alejandro Magana, Faustina Munoz, Paul Magana, and Manuel Magana. 

Juana spent most of her life in El Paso, TX, where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School. Juana was employed at Farah Mfg for many years, as well as Baxter Medical supplies. She was a complex and dedicated worker making long-time relationships with her coworkers and supervisors. 

Juana enjoyed meeting new people and always giving help or advice to others, which would develop into long-lasting friendships. She had a unique relationship with her beloved chihuahua Chachi, her ride-or-die partner, who is loved and missed. Juana’s hobbies included sewing, low riding in her truck (Slow N Low), cooking, and, most of all, making tamales with her sisters during the holidays. She always made time to sing along at parties with her incredible singing abilities.

Juana will be dearly missed by all her loved ones, as she’s in God’s embrace.
