Christian (Chris) Paul Proctor, age 48, passed away on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2022, in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born August 11, 1973, to Jerry Proctor and Carmen Jenkins in Colorado Springs. Chris was the oldest of three brothers. Chris attended school in Denver and Aurora, Colorado, graduating from Smoky Hill High School in Aurora as part of the class of 1991.
Chris showed his work ethic from a young age. Employed as a newspaper courier at the age of seven, he worked through the blizzard of 1982 and saved up enough to buy his own bedroom furniture at eight. His diligence persisted his entire lifetime during his profession as a skilled painter and laborer.
Chris had a personality that surpasses words. His goal was to bring laughter to a room and joy to people’s hearts. His giving nature shined when he selflessly offered his time and energy to help others whether it was a landscaping project, helping move houses, painting an entire house, or just changing a lightbulb. He will be forever remembered and loved by those he left behind.
Chris is survived by his parents, Carmen (fiancé David Belkevitz) and Jerry (friend Lorene Bennet), his brothers Jeremy (wife Jenae) and Shane (fiancé Traci Wuerstl), his Oma Lisolette (husband Dave Taylor), his uncles Werner Jenkins (wife Jeannine) and Garey, his nephews Lennon and River, and his cousins Nicholas and Mira. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmy and Homer, and his uncle Bill.
A private viewing will be held at Alternative Cremations, and a memorial party will be held at the Jenkins private residence on Wednesday, May 18 at 12:30 pm MDT. We love you, Chris!
Nature’s first green is gold,Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf.So Eden sank to grief,So dawn goes down to day.Nothing gold can stay.Frost – 1923
