Catherine (Chris) Christine Oswalt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother crossed to her eternal life with her loving husband of nearly 54 years by her side. Chris was born October 9, 1950, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to James Casper Alexander and Catherine Fern Alexander (Martin). At the age of 8 weeks old she moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado with her mother. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1968. She met her loving husband, Larry Allen Oswalt of Marion, Indiana while he was stationed at Ft Carson Army Base, they married October 5, 1968.  

She is preceded in death by both parents and her younger brother Dennis D. Eastom, and great grandson Cameron Christopher.  

Chris and Larry become longtime residents of the Peyton and Calhan area in the early 1970’s, where they raised their two children, Rick and Theresa.

Chris worked for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for nearly 25 years. She is a breast cancer survivor and a wonderful and beautiful woman inside and out, admired and loved by many. Chris loved living in the country where she rode her horses when she was younger, gardened and had beautiful flower gardens. She loved sitting on the front porch with her loving husband on beautiful summer nights watching the hummingbirds that visited their feeders. She was an avid reader and loved genealogy research. cross stitch and sewing.

Chris is survived by her loving husband and their son Richard (Darla) Oswalt, daughter Theresa (Dennis) Day, all of Colorado Springs, CO. Grandson’s Justin Zamora of Denver, CO, Timothy Day, Shawn Oswalt, granddaughters Alexandria (Trent) Miller and Brittany Day/Allen Hass all of Colorado Springs, CO. Grandsons at heart Terry (Kat) Day, Christopher (Kate) Day and John (Lacey) Day all of Georgia. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren, and cousins. 

Chris was loved and cherished by all who knew her and will miss her dearly. There will be a private Family Memorial at a later date, where her life will be celebrated with memories, laughter and love.
