Samantha Ann Peterson-Willard (MacLearn) was born in Glendale, California on September 25, 1946, to Roy and Juanita MacLearn.  Samantha passed away on January 24, 2022 surrounded by loving family and friends. She was currently residing in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Samantha leaves behind her son Joel (spouse Sabrina) Peterson, daughter Stacey Nystrom and daughter Heather Peterson. Grandchildren Trent Peterson (in memory of), Zachary (spouse Samantha) Peterson, Nathan Peterson, Andrew Peterson, Kaitlyn (spouse Tyler) Roland, Nicolas Peterson, Zoe Peterson, Charlie Peterson and Owen Peterson. Great Grandchildren Sarah Peterson, Akash Peterson, Lillian Peterson, August Peterson, Sadie Roland, Alexander Peterson and Nova-Sofia Peterson.  Samantha “Patty” also leaves behind her lifelong best friend of 62 years Cindy Criswell who’s known lovingly as “Aunt Cindy”.

Celebration of Life and spreading of her ashes; as to her wishes will be at Doheny State Park Beach at Station #9 (the hole in the wall) in Dana Point, California summertime. 

Being a lover of the ocean, one of her favorite books was Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh.
