Ida Orlinda Medina, 91

August 10, 1930 – September 19,2021

Ida Orlinda Medina was born August 10, 1930, to Jose (Joe) Vigil and Cirilia Vigil (Lucero) in San Luis, Colorado. She went to be with the Lord peacefully on September 19, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Co where she lived for several years. She also lived in Pueblo, Colorado for most of her life. She is Preceded in death by Father Jose (Joe) Vigil, Mother Cirilia Vigil (Lucero), Husband Clovis Medina, Sisters:  Orlinda (Vigil) Espinoza, Rosa (Vigil) Cordova, Rosita Vigil, and Brothers:  Orlando Vigil, Daniel Vigil, Lino Vigil, Remi Vigil, Juan Vigil, Jose Marie Vigil, Miejito Vigil, Nephews: Fernando Gallegos, Javier Gallegos. 

She is survived by: Sister Mercy Vigil, Nieces Sharon (Vigil) Rodgriguez, Jamie Vigil, Great Nieces Vanessa Gallegos, Desiree Vigil (Oscar Flores), Lizzette Molina, Zhane’ Molina, and Isaac Gallegos, Numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.

Ida worked very hard with her father at a very young age doing farm work in different states. In her early 20’s she got married to Clovis Medina in San Luis, Colorado where she lived until her 30’s where she moved to Pueblo, Colorado with her Mother Cirilia, brother, and sisters. Ida loved the great outdoors, fishing, long drives in the mountains, she liked going to Cripple Creek and gambling. Ida did not have children of her own, but she helped raise her nieces Sharon, and Jamie as her own children. She loved Barbeques, family events, and just being surrounded by her sister Mercy, nieces, nephews, grandchildren (great nieces, and nephews) family and friends. She had a deep love for all her family. Ida Loved to cook. Her specialties were Beans, Green Chili, Sopapillas, tortillas, bread, cookies, pies, stews and much, much, more. Ida’s biggest treasure was her family. She will be deeply missed, but will forever be loved and in our hearts.
