Rebecca Sue Gonzales was born to Maxine and Howard Beach on August 14, 1956 in Tribune, KS. She was preceded in death by her brother, mother and father. Becky attended Fort Hays State University in Kansas and graduated with a BA in Education and later obtained her MA from Colorado University. Her teaching career spanned across Kansas and Colorado for over 40 years. Her life was devoted to teaching special education students and raising the standards for instruction. She was an advocate for the needs of others and enjoyed teaching every day with her friends at Pueblo East High School. When she wasn’t teaching, she loved the outdoors, camping, traveling, crafting and making memories with her family.

Becky is survived by her husband, Eugene Gonzales, of 38 years. She has four children: Kacie Johnson and Cameron Gonzales, both of Pueblo, CO and Selena Eckstrom and Sonya Roberts, both of Olathe, KS. She also is survived by five grandchildren, two grandbabies on the way, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends.

May she rest in peace and know that she will be loved and dearly missed.

There will be a remembrance celebration this summer in Pueblo.
