Betty Bernice Bosch of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025 at 6:01 am in the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loved ones.
Betty was born on April 13, 1948, to Melvin and Ruth Shuck. She married the love of her life, James William Bosch, on May 23, 1964. Together, they shared 59 beautiful years of marriage before James’ passing. Now, they are joyfully reunited in heaven. Their love was steadfast, enduring hardships and celebrating triumphs together. Marrying in their teens, they built a lifetime of love, raising a family that became their greatest legacy.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and James filled their home with love, raising five children: Chandi, Mona, Cristine, Dennis, and Delbert. From this foundation, their family grew into a large, cherished legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom Betty adored and proudly spoke about.
She is survived by her beloved children, their spouses, a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her sister, Ruth Ann, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James William Bosch, her sister Ruby, her brothers Don and Tom, her granddaughter Brittany, and her fur baby Skagway.
As a mother of five, Betty dedicated her life to raising her children and supporting her husband. No matter where life took them, she had a special gift for turning any house into a warm and loving home. A master of resourcefulness, she knew how to stretch every dollar and make the most out of any situation. Her creativity shone through in her crafts, and she found joy in making and giving away her handmade treasures.
Betty had a sharp mind and a love for crossword puzzles, often filling an entire book in just a week. Her quick wit, sense of humor, and infectious laughter made her a joy to be around. She was the beloved Gramma and aunt that her grandchildren and nieces and nephews would call for advice, jokes, and comfort. Strong and resilient, she faced life’s challenges with courage and perseverance—traits she passed down to her children.
Betty’s love extended beyond her human family to her fur-baby grandchildren, whom she adored. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and the lessons she imparted.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Betty is now reunited with James, resting in the arms of our Lord. Betty and “her Jim” shared nearly six decades together, building a life filled with love, cherished memories, and unwavering devotion. Though they were separated by Jim’s passing in December 2024, their bond was never broken.
Their love and legacy will forever remain in our hearts, and we take solace in the promise that we will see them again one day.
A private celebration of Betty’s life will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by making a donation to the charity of your choice.
Betty’s love, laughter, and unwavering strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
