Connie Renae Groven
April 17, 1961 – February 1, 2025
Connie Renae Groven passed away on February 1, 2025 from complications related to cancer. She was born in Colorado Springs on April 17,1961 to Melba (Wulff) and Ray Jimeson. She was raised in Colorado Springs and graduated from Harrison High School in 1979.
In 1989 she married Tim Groven on July 3rd. They celebrated 35 blessed years together. They did some traveling, but they loved their time together at home in the mountains.
Connie spent her entire life in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park areas. She had several different jobs over the years, but for the last 23+ years she worked various positions at Smoker Friendly. She rose up through the ranks and was store manager at the time of her death. Connie was a very sociable person and loved her job.
Her hobbies included riding ATV’s with her husband, target shooting, cheering for the Broncos, cooking family favorites especially chili, biscuits and gravy, and fried chicken, and loved playing Scrabble, which she was known as the Scrabble queen. But what she enjoyed most was spending time with family. She loved coloring Easter eggs with her kids and more recently with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband Tim Groven of Woodland Park, her son Jamill Pacheco (Jen), her daughter Jaimee Groven (Robert) her sister Sondra Rygh (Bill). She has five grandchildren Gabe, Kassidey, Tyler, Samora and Kaynani. She also has several aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, and nephews.
Connie will be deeply missed forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her love for life, determination and fight will be her legacy.
The family will hold a private memorial service in June 2025.
