David Paul Jayne was born on July 14, 1961, in Long Island, New York to William and Lucille Jayne. He lived in New York until moving out to Colorado Springs in 1995. He loved the mountains of Colorado, and enjoyed the views of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs.
David was deeply religious, and was a devout member of St Mary’s Catholic Church. He had a huge heart, and although he didn’t have much money, he gave to various charities. He loved to garden, and enjoyed tending a garden at Mesa House, where he lived the last 6 years.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Nancy who died in infancy. He is survived by his siblings Bill, Ted, and Cindy, and his niece and nephew Gina and Doug. His life was not always an easy one, but we feel grateful that the challenges he faced are over and he is in heaven with the Lord. We appreciate the support he received from many throughout the community over the years. Although David is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.

A funeral Mass service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colorado Springs on May 9th at 2 pm.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 8:35, 38-39 NIV
