Deidre Kaye Mitchell was born to Robert Duane and Mary Katherine Mitchell, March 9, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas. She passed away December 19, 2024, in Colorado Springs. Deidre was known best by her middle name, Kaye.

Kaye is survived by her beloved son, David Stearman and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Mitchell of Colorado Springs, Twin sister Debra Stiverson (Richard) of Maize, Kansas, brothers Bradley (Helen) of Wellington KS, and Gregory Mitchell of Clearwater, KS, an uncle, Merton Max Mitchell (Alice), of Wichita, KS, nephews James Stiverson of Maize KS, Randal Stiverson of Maplewood, New Jersey and nieces Teri Stiverson Coppoc (Trent) of Tulsa Oklahoma, Laura Mitchell Hamlin (Bob) of Olathe, Ks, 7 great nieces, and 7 great nephews.

Kaye was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristin Mitchell, parents Robert and Mary Mitchell, brother Robert Mitchell Jr. & sister-in-law Barbara Mitchell and nieces Jennifer Stiverson Germann and Anne Manley

Back in the 1970’s Kaye learned to fly and loved the excitement of going up in the air. Her Piper Cherokee was the joy of her life. She enjoyed flying it back to Kansas to visit family. She worked as an LPN for many years and especially enjoyed working with newborn babies. She loved the Colorado mountains and the feeling of beauty & peace the mountains gave her. She loved cooking and watching movies. She will be dearly missed.
