Douglas Gorden Green was born in Boulder, CO on Nov. 22nd 1952 to Robert and Barbara Green. He graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School, Western State College of Colorado, and Outward Bound. Doug spent his career as a commodities broker in Colorado Springs. He was an avid outdoorsman, mountaineer, hunter, angler, and a renowned gardener. Many would say Doug was larger than life. He was handsome, rugged, and eternally optimistic. He was an outlaw, a cowboy, and a hippie. Throughout his life, Doug was fortunate to have three beautiful wives whom he remained close to; Christina, Charlene, and Traci. Doug had countless friends, by whom he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his four children; Matthew, Cody, Travis, and Graci; as well as by three grandchildren Jackson, Liliana, and Audrey. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 1pm. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at 846 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Doug loved flowers and you may send them to the church in advance. A reception will follow the service.
