It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marlene Ann Nothstine, a loving mother and grandmother. She passed away on December 21, 2024 at the age of 62. She was known for her hardwork and dedication as well as the love she had for her two daughters Kristen Rector and Kayla Nothstine along with her four grandchildren Rian Rector, Neil Bettinger, Cody Rector, and Kiera Rector. Marlene loved the mountains and spending time with her family. She was also an avid reader and took great pride in her job. She was born on September 24, 1962 to Jerald “Jay” Nothstine and Mildred “Millie” Nothstine in Waco, Texas.

Growing up, she lived in many places, but was proud to call Colorado home. She loved the outdoors whether that meant fishing, hiking, or camping, she loved it all. Her favorite time of year was Autumn when she could go and see all of the colors that the trees would turn. She was grateful that she was able to experience the leaves changing one last time.

Through the years she made several friends that became family who cherished her and who cherished her in return. Marlene loved to laugh and had a witty sense of humor and was a great listener for anyone who needed someone to talk to. Losing Marlene has left a hole in the hearts of all of those who loved and cared about her. She touched the lives of more people than she ever realized and will be greatly missed by all.
