Mark Anthony Julian, aka “The Legend” passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 72 in Colorado Springs, CO. Born on January 15, 1952, Mark lived a life driven by dedication to his family, his country, and his profession.

Mark served honorably in the United States Air Force for over 24 years, dedicating nearly a quarter-century to military service before retiring as a Major. Following his military career, he transitioned into significant roles within the Aerospace & Defense industry, where he continued to contribute with his expertise, knowledge, and leadership for 26 years.

He was known as an honorable, trustworthy mentor, a phenomenal leader, and a dear friend with uncompromising integrity. Above all, Mark was a devoted family man, loving and protective as a husband and father, leaving behind an everlasting legacy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalina J. Julian; daughter Vanessa M. Julian-Shonoiki and son-in-law Adebola A. Shonoiki; son Vincent A. Julian and daughter-in-law Karli A. Julian; grandchildren Tiana R. Shonoiki, Aliyah A. Shonoiki, Adrian M. Shonoiki, Luca J. Julian, and Leo A. Julian; sisters Donna Auclair, Pat Julian Britton, Pam Santinelli and Frances Julian; and brother Greg Julian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Helen Julian; daughter Angelina Stephenson; and brother Ronnie Julian.

Mark’s hobbies included spending cherished moments with his family, engaging in outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking, and excelling in powerlifting. He also had a passion for mathematics and physics, which was both in his academic and personal interests. In his young adulthood, Mark even dabbled in acting during his initial years in the military, appearing in movies in the Philippines and Germany. He loved watching sports, in particular football, cheering on his Dallas Cowboys any chance he could. Mark had a passion for sharing stories and creating special memories with his loved ones. His most cherished moments were spent with his family while on vacation, watching movies, or at a simple gathering playing cards around the kitchen table. 

A vigil in his honor will be held on January 27, 2025, at 6:30 pm, followed by a funeral mass on January 28, 2025, at 10:00 am at Saint Gabriel the Archangel, 8755 Scarborough Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Military funeral honors will be accorded on May 16, 2025, at 11:00 am at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennen Road, Colorado Springs, CO.
