Heather Leigh Stapish, 48, passed away at Penrose Hospital on November 30, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.

Heather was born at Penrose Hospital on July 9, 1976. She Worked at Colorado College for 25 years,

rising in the ranks to Payroll Manager. She was loved by the College community for her dedication and 

willingness to always going above and beyond. 

Fondly nick named “Heater”, “Heat”, or “T.T” by her nieces and nephews, she was an avid CC hockey 

fan. Other interests included collecting frogs, crafting, cooking, gardening, Broncos football, and MMA fighting.

Heather is survived by a son, Konner Coles, mother, Janet Teel (Sam O’Neill), father, Billy Blackburn,

twin sister, Heidi Rainey (Mark), brother, Brian Blackburn (Claudia), nieces, Shala-Ann and Aubrey, 

nephews, Bryson and Hayden. She is preceded in death by spouse Craig Stapish.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, Dec 27 at 11:00am for family and close friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Robson Arena on the Colorado College Campus

.
