Alan Victor Fustini passed away on December 4, 2024, at home with his family after a long battle with cancer.

Alan was born on December 1, 1970, in Landstuhl, Germany to Lawernce Fustini and Judy Lycett.  Alan lived most of his life in Canon City, Colorado where he attended school and graduated from Canon City High School in 1989.  After completing his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Pueblo Community College he began working for the Colorado Department of Corrections, starting at Camp George West and then on to various locations at the East Canon Complex including CSP, CTCF, CMC, and FCF.  He was an active member of the Canon Search team for most of his career and enjoyed this portion of his career the most and adored all the wonderful people and friendships he made with those he worked with throughout his career.  He retired on March 31, 2023, after 31 years of service with the CDOC.

Alan and Josette Siegmund met in May of 1996 and they were married on March 21, 1998.  They had their first daughter, Julia, in December of 2000 and Jenna in February of 2006.  Alan enjoyed and loved his family as they were the most important portion of his life.

Alan was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rockies, the Denver Broncos, and many other sports as well as a strange obsession with the Tour de France.  He enjoyed fishing, being with his family, and food.  He loved trying new recipes and eating out at new restaurants.  He was a simple laid-back kind of man who never needed much, just enjoyed being with family.

Alan is preceded in death by his mother, father, and his grandparents.  Alan is survived by his wife Josette and their two daughters Julia (Brendan) Kavanagh and Jenna Fustini, sister Tammy Lynn (Nick) Jones, sister Ruth (Fred) Alire, sister Crystal Jarrett, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alan’s celebration of life will take place on December 10, 2024, at 1100 am, at the Sonrise Church, 421 E Spaulding Ave, Pueblo West, CO 81007.  The family will be hosting a reception immediately following the service.  This will be a very casual service (just like Alan), so please feel free to wear sports jerseys as he was a huge sports fan (the Avalanche, the Rockies, and the Broncos).
