Diane Dorothy Robinson was born on July 26, 1942 in Little Falls, New York to Rose V. and Thomas B. Robinson. She had an older brother, Tom (deceased) and has a younger sister, Darlene. Diane graduated from Little Falls high school and later from Regis University in Colorado Springs.

She moved to Rome, New York and married Salvatore Mendoza with whom she had three children, Salena, Melissa, and Torry.

She had a long career with E-Systems and was transferred to Colorado Springs in 1986 where she continued her career with Raytheon.

Diane made many friends while living in Colorado. She enjoyed walking, taking weekend trips and poetry and writing workshops. She became a published poet who delighted in giving local readings throughout Colorado Springs.

In 1996, she became a grandmother and loved spoiling and spending time with her granddaughter Veronica. They’d often dress in crazy outfits and walk around the neighborhood together.

In 1997 she married William (Bill) R. Reynolds, Jr. (deceased) and gained six step children and many step grandchildren.

After retiring, she and Bill moved to Hebo, Oregon. There they enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest, walking the beach in Pacific City, and taking road trips across the country.

Diane loved gardening, wildlife, her writer’s workshops and reading to elementary students as a volunteer.

In her last few years Diane lived in assisted living where she loved flower arranging, live music, bingo and happy hour with her friends.

Diane died October 27, 2024 after a short illness. She was a friend to all. She loved to laugh and never hesitated to tell people daily that they were beautiful. She is truly missed and forever in our hearts.
