Our beloved mother and grandmother, Twyla DeAnne Sanchez, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 15, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born to Ora and Helen Burdue on January 3, 1949 in Dodge City, Kansas. Twyla was a force of nature and endless river of love and positivity. She raised two children, Damon and Starla. Twyla’s main focus in life is being the best mother and grandmother that she could be and gave 100% of herself in that endeavor.

Twyla loved reading books, shopping, decorating and traveling. She traveled to Europe, Egypt, Israel and took a cruise to Alaska. Twyla worked at Texaco as a manager for a couple of years until she got hired on with the Post Office. She retired from the Post Office after 25 years.

Twyla was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Helen Burdue, and her sister, Sondra Paulick. She is survived by her children, Damon (Cynthia) and Starla (Les), brother in law, John Paulick, her nephew, Brandon (Alex), 3 grandchildren, Calvin, Kaitlyn (Ray), and Matthew, 3 great grandchildren, Emalynn, Maria and Isaac. Twyla will be cremated. There will be no services per her request.
