Robert (Bob) Uhlenhopp

Robert (Bob) Uhlenhopp, 73, passed away July 13, 2024 at his home in Colorado Springs. Bob was a family man who loved spending time with his wife, his kids and grandkids, and his dogs. Bob and his wife Laura met while playing on a pool league. He was quite accomplished, with many trophies and awards. He had a smile and laugh that could light up a room!

Bob was born and raised in Canon City, CO, the New Year’s baby of 1951! He graduated from Canon City High School. Bob spent 7 years working the Pipeline on the Northern Slope of Alaska. He returned to Colorado Springs and started a family. Bob worked in construction most of his life, as a mechanic, driver and operator of heavy equipment. He also was an owner/operator of a semi truck over the road for several years. He was a Harley riding, Corvette loving, pool playing, Bronco watching Bad A$$!

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Audrey Uhlenhopp, his sister Yvette Guion, and nephews Travis Uhlenhopp and Greg Guion. Survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Laura Uhlenhopp; brother Terry (Cris) Uhlenhopp; children Jason Uhlenhopp, Todd (Carolyn) Karl, Lowell (Tessa) Karl, Kayleigh Sheble, Shannon (Jake) Lawrence; and grandchildren Lexi, Jordan, Grace, William, Calvin, Soren, Sterling, Zain, Rose, Alexandria and Elayna; 2 nieces; and his beloved dog Buddy. A celebration of life for Bob will happen later in the year.
