Paul Martin Forsberg, the lastborn of the late Elmer and Patricia Forsberg, entered this life on September 12, 1958. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, he graduated from Helix High School and went on to serve in the United States Army, where he received an honorable discharge on February 8, 1987.

A dedicated person who worked hard at any job, Paul was the man who would work twelve to sixteen hours a day and still find energy to spend time with his children when he came home. He instilled his work ethic and tenacity in his daughters and taught them the importance of family. To ensure his daughters could be independent women who would rely on themselves, he taught them the basics of repairing cars and carpentry.

The things Paul loved most were his family, the San Diego Padres, and Winnie the Pooh. He passed that love of the Padres and being an avid baseball fan on to his daughter Keara and his two grandchildren, Brianna and Logan. Sharing a love for the characters of Winnie the Pooh, he, his daughters, and his wife were some of the characters. His daughter Jaimie was Piglet, his daughter Keara was Eeyore, he was Pooh Bear, and his wife was Tigger.

Paul loved life and could make a friend anywhere. Friendly, with an infectious smile, he was the type of person who could and would go anywhere by himself, and by the time he left, he’d made a new friend. He loved bragging about his daughters and grandchildren to anyone he met, even a cashier at a store. Kind, loving, and soft spoken, he was someone you could not help but love.

On Friday, June 21, 2024, Paul passed away in his sleep at home, where he lived with his daughter, Keara. He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his wife, Jeri Jahn Forsberg, his two daughters, Keara Hammons (Stew Hammons) and Jaimie Forsberg (Terence Jenkins), and his three grandchildren, Logan Hammons, Brianna Hammons, and Millicent Robinson, whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind five stepchildren whom he loved as his own: Tom Boggess, Miki Robinson, Jessica Jones, Julia Dombrowski, and Kevin Dombrowski; and his two brothers, Michael Forsberg and Joe Forsberg. Paul has now joined his two sisters, Patty and Mary Forsberg, his father, Elmer, and his mother, Patricia, in heaven.

Gone Too

Soon

Words cannot describe the loss I feel

Saying farewell to you

But heaven chose to give you wings

And now it’s time you flew.

I wish that we could have more time,

That God had let you stay.

Forever would not be long enough

But I would take one day.

I wish I had just one more chance

To see that tender smile,

To laugh with you again my dear

Just for a little while.

Gone too soon, but not forgotten,

Forever you will remain,

My guiding light, my shining star,

Until I see your face again.
