George Scott McLeod Satz “Scott”, age 65, a loving father, grandfather and brother, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2024  at his residence in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Scott was born on July 16, 1958, in Miami, Florida to Paul and Gladys Satz. He was a graduate from Buchholz High School, class of 76. He then went on to receive his AA from Sante Fe Community College. He was the proud owner of his own framing company, A1 Framing. He found a true passion in building homes. Scott was often the life of the party and enjoyed all of those around him, especially his grandchildren. For those who knew Scott know that he never met a stranger, he was always accepting of others. 

He is survived by his son, Ryan Satz of Colorado Springs and his wife Amber Satz, his daughter Jade Ellis of Sarasota and husband Ryan Ellis, and his two grandchildren, Cameron Ellis (10) and Kyla Ellis (8), his brother Mark Satz and sister Julie Satz. He will be remembered for his last friendships, love for the water and travel, and zest for life. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at 1604 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota, Florida, 34236.
