David John DeBattista, 51, of Canon City, Colorado, passed away on May 17, 2024. He was born on April 24, 1973, in Cudahy, Wisconsin. David, known to many as “Colorado,” was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.

A career truck driver and landscaper, David was dedicated to his work and took pride in his profession. Outside of work, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, spending time outdoors, watching his Denver Broncos, drawing, and tattoos. He cherished moments spent with his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife, Tammy DeBattista, his Dad Steve Carter, his siblings Brenda Dallaire, (Dustin Kanaday), Jennifer Gordon, (Jeremy)  Diana Buman (Ray), and his children Christian DeBattista, Dallas DeBattista, David DeBattista,( Whitnie), Austin Rowe, Dustin Rowe, Rachel Cekis, (Jay). He is also survived by his grandchildren Danny DeBattista, DeMarieon DeBattista, Aaden DeBattista, Amiyiah DeBattista, Jayden, Hadley, and Jay Jr Cekis.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Carter, his brother Christopher DeBattista, and his grandparents John and Henriett Halaska.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in David’s memory. The funeral services are being handled by Griffin in Colorado Springs.

David John DeBattista will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
