Linda (Lechuga) Ortega passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her home in Pueblo, CO at the age of 75.  Linda was born November 27,1948, to Elvera and John Lechuga in Trinidad, CO.    

Linda is survived by her children Corrine Ortega and John (Gladis) Ortega; Grandchildren Johnna (Jeremy) ,Elianna, Angelina and Jayla; Great grandchildren Jasper, Jeremiah and Jaelani;  Sisters, Barbara, Beatrice, Mary, Theresa, Roseann, Joann, Christine; Brothers, John and George Lechuga and countless beloved friends. 

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Max (Sonny) Ortega, father/mother-in-law Max and Corrine Ortega, sister-in-law Connie Ortega and brother-in-law Thomas Ortega.  Parents Elvera and John Lechuga.

Linda is remembered as a natural caregiver who showed her love daily to everyone she knew with her delicious cooking and “Home EC” creativity that included anything from making clothes to toddler crafts, which she continued to share with her great grandchildren who kept her young  these last few years. Linda will be dearly missed, but we find comfort knowing she is at peace, no longer in pain and surrounded by passed loved ones.  

A Celebration of Life will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
