Kathy Ann (Zieschang) Moats was a caring and giving servant of our Lord. She peacefully met Jesus face to face on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the age of 73, after a brief time with cancer.
She is survived by her daughter, Breeze (Gilbert);
grandchildren: Brandon (Raili); Zachery (Anna); Jerimiah (David); Cody (Janeil); Allison; Caleb; Sadie and Noah;
great-grandchildren: Daya, Raina, Harleen, Scarlett; Nova, Quinn; Killian, Jennifer, Ryder, Gwendolynn and Finnigan.
Also surviving are her brother Mark Zieschang (Duygu); sisters-in-law Susan Zieschang and Mary Zieschang Schulze, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who dearly loved her.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Luther Zieschang; mother, Patricia Zieschang; brothers, Paul Zieschang and Eric Zieschang.
Kathy was born on June 13, 1950, in Denver, and spent her life in Wheat Ridge, Arvada and Colorado Springs. She attended Emmaus Lutheran School and Lutheran High School. Her earliest employment was with AT&T (Bell Company). Throughout her daughter’s growing up years, she worked as an executive secretary, and then in Human Resources. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her family, especially her travels to Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, and a special time with her dad in Italy and surrounding countries.
Kathy was an active member of Redeemer Temple, and mission trips to Nepal, Albania, Pakistan, Bosnia and the Philippines were a joy for her. She spent her “retirement“ years raising and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy spent time as an educator at their school, Cornerstone Christian.
She volunteered in her church nursery and at Focus on the Family, and she also faithfully served her extended family members.
Kathy’s devotion and dedication to her family were her passion; she demonstrated unconditional love. Her life was truly selfless. The most important thing in her life was her passion for Jesus. She was a strong believer and full of faith. In walking through her many trials in life, she wanted God to be glorified.
She fought the good fight of faith (in Christ) and has taken hold of the eternal life to which she was called. (I Timothy 6:12)
