In Memory of Randy Vernel Cunningham Shelley

Also known as Randy Jacob Shelley

Randy was the son of Rocky Lee Cunningham and Wendy Ann Lobrado, born on July 22, 1985 in Portland, Clackamas, Oregon, and passed from this life on March 20, 2024 in Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado.  He had one brother, Jacob Lee Cunningham.  When his mother and father separated, Randy went to live with his mother.   He lived a number of places but in about 2001, he was adopted by Randy and Jeina Shelley of Elko, Neveda.  After graduating from high school there, he ventured out on his own.  He lived and worked in numerous places including Alaska, Louisana, Idaho, etc.  As a young adult, he returned and lived in Alamosa, CO, for a short time, and came back here periodically.

His father, Rocky Cunningham, precedes him in death.  He is survived by his mother, his brother, his adoptive parents, two aunts, Dottie Jo Ferguson and Elva Cunningham, one uncle Kenneth Ricky Cunningham, adopted siblings and ½ siblings that were important to him, along with many friends and extended family.

Randy was a strong man with a tender heart.  He took pride in his ability to take on challenging jobs with great success.  He strived to be independent.  We will miss his can-do attitude and his love.  We feel blessed to have had Randy in our lives.
