In loving memory of Mark Michael Schreder, born on September 13th, 1949, in Crookston, Minnesota to Paul Schreder and Vera Tiedemann. Mark remains a cherished husband to Anne Schreder, brother to Gary Schreder (Lynn), father to Paul Schreder and Jessica McAllister (Aaron) and grandfather to Will, Mila, Gwen and Brooke. His enduring legacy encompasses numerous members of an extended family, including step children Pete Thrasher (Jessica), Sharyn Andersen (Ryan), Krista Silecchia (Michael), Matt Thrasher (Tricia), and grandchildren Austin, Levi, Katie, Trevor, Kaiden, Jake, Cooper, Bennett, Conrad, and Daryn. Mark’s journey came to a peaceful close on February 29th, 2024, in his home in Black Forest, Colorado leaving behind hearts that are deeply saddened, yet deeply grateful.
From his upbringing on the frozen tundra and deep beauty of North Dakota, Mark developed a spirit of resourcefulness that pulsated through his identity and had a direct and profound impact on a life well-lived. He enthusiastically pursued opportunities to optimize situations for both himself and those in his sphere of influence through unwavering optimism and hope. Mark fully embraced his role in the lives of those who knew him and displayed a genuine interest in supporting their journeys by offering thoughtful and generous ideas to enhance their well-being. With a keen fascination for gadgets and life-hacks, he eagerly shared his expertise and delighted in their overall practicality, finding deep satisfaction in maximizing impact through minimal effort.
Valuing time and genuine connections as his most precious assets, Mark endeavored to maximize their potential and assigned great care and consideration in intentional efforts to spread joy and love. Through seemingly small and continuous micro-adjustments, Mark’s application of these principles resulted in a beautiful life full of travel and experiences – creating lasting memories with those he held dear.
Though his passing was sudden and unexpected, there is comfort and celebration in the life that he lived.
May he rest in peace, and may those who cherished him carry forward his legacy of living life to the fullest.
