Mary Ravenell Livingston, who was taken home by our Lord on October 12, 2023, at the Cheyenne Mountain Center in Colorado Springs Colorado with her son Loran Livingston Jr. by her side. She was born Ravenell Lorene Miller in Collinsville, OK, on May 29, 1927. Mary’s list of services rendered during her lifetime included several years in law enforcement, a legal secretary for over ten years, and she was in real estate before she retired but she was most proud of her work for the Baptist Nursing School. She grew close to many of the nursing school students in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she raised her four children before retiring to Colorado Springs, to live near her only son Loran Livingston Jr. Ravenell loved food. Her favorite meal was a hamburger from Culvers which was located close to the nursing home where she resided. Her son Loran called her “Mis Wimpy.” She would not say anything to you until she had eaten her hamburger. She always provided for her four children Shirley,Joan,Loran, and Jeaney. She made sure we had what we needed working two jobs to support her family that loved her very much. Ravenell loved God with all of her heart and soul. She is now with Father God in Heaven and all the people that she loved though out her life that have passed. As a Christian she knew Jesus loved her and died on the Cross so she could return to him in Heaven someday. Everyone that knew Ravenell always said she was a very sweet and kind person.
She is preceded in death by two children Shirley and Joan and survived by two children Loran and Jeaney, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
We will always hold a place in our hearts for our mother and will ask God to shine the “Love of Jesus Christ” on her spirit for eternity. We Love You Mom.
