In loving memory of Harold James Pawluk

Born: October 12, 1936, Edmonton, Alberta

Passed Away: September 29, 2023, Colorado Springs, CO

Preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret, and the love of his life, Jacqueline Jeanette Bullard, with whom he enjoyed a loving, 43-year marriage. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille and Lorraine, daughter Nicole, son Joe, and Joe’s children Michael and Aleina.

Hal’s professional journey was as diverse and vibrant as his personality. With an engineering degree in hand, there was no challenge too great for him to conquer. He was an entrepreneur, a start-up business consultant, an advertising agency leader, and a creative thinker. His ingenuity and problem-solving skills were unparalleled, and he was always ready to help friends and family figure out how to build a better mousetrap.

He had an adventurous soul and enjoyed traveling, scuba diving and hang gliding with Jacqui. After her passing, he ventured out on his own, traveling across the US and Canada in a modified camper van. In his 70s, Hal settled in Miami, where he continued to embrace life’s opportunities. He dove headfirst into learning, picking up Spanish and even embracing the art of salsa dancing. And when he wasn’t indulging his intellectual curiosity or listening to live music as varied as dubstep to Latin pop, you could find him at the Texas Hold ‘Em table, where he relished the competition and camaraderie.

Hal’s legacy will forever be one of intellectual curiosity, boundless creativity, and deep love for his family and friends. His memory will continue to inspire us to approach life with the same zest and passion that he did.
