Laurie Marie LaChappelle, 61, of Colorado Springs, passed away from cancer on August 20, 2023. She was born April 18, 1962 in Ohio, to the parents of Larah Wayne and Nancy (Cambria) Vanaman. 

Laurie was the proud owner and operator of Laurie’s forever diamonds. She enjoyed animals of all kinds. She always greeted everyone with a smile, had an open ear, and a heart of gold. Laurie was known for her highly sophisticated fashion sense and extraordinary interior design. She loved spending time at the beach and would travel to Cabo yearly. She will be remembered for her flare of fashion, giving nature, and the unconditional love she expressed to her family and friends. 

Laurie is survived by her husband, Dan LaChappelle; her children; Britney Anderson, Zachary Reber, Robin Fuller, Travis LaChappelle, and Tyler LaChappelle; her grandchildren; Levi, Spencer, Holly, Kasen, Gavin, Raylee, Alivia; siblings; Wayne Vanaman, Michael Vanaman, Rebecca Barnes, and Mark Vanaman; her beloved fur babies; Phoebe, and Sam; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Memorial services will be held on September 15, 2023 at 11am
