Liz and her parents moved from Denver to Colorado Springs where Elizabeth graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School where she was known as Betty Lynn. She enlisted into the Navy and was a corps man at the Naval air station in Pensacola Florida during the Vietnam war. Liz met her husband and helped him finish his career in the Navy and retire. After living in Virginia, she and her husband return to Colorado Springs. Liz held several jobs in Colorado Springs. She eventually retired from the Gazette telegraph after 20 years, Elizabeth and her parents were well-established at Bethany Lutheran Church in the skyway area of Colorado Springs after Bethany closed and merged, Elizabeth became a member of Grace Lutheran ELCA.  She thoroughly enjoyed her church family and loved them. Liz did beautiful counted cross stitch and candle wicking. She also loved needle craft in her spare time, along with embroidery. Unfortunately, arthritis made it impossible for her to enjoy needlework. Liz enjoyed the simple things in life. She was kind and considerate to all. She was a good friend, a good mother and a good grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Rest in peace.
