Darlene M. Gardner, age 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep May 2, 2023.  She was born December 14, 1931 in Polk County Missouri to Venie and Herbert Micham.   As her three boys were growing, Darlene worked in San Francisco, CA for most of her professional career holding a variety of administrative positions with the Carpenter’s Union.  Later, she retired to the Colorado Springs, CO area where she loved the view of the Rocky mountains and small community atmosphere.  Darlene is survived by her only remaining sister, Juanita, her three sons and their wives Ronald & Antoinette, Gene & Sara, Michael & Stephanie along with 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  She lived a quiet and humble life and took great joy in sharing time with family.  Per Darlene’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
