Sandra Kay Kopp sadly passed away on May 3, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 64.  Sandi was born on March 16, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan, the 6th out of 7 children born to Billie Lemons (neé Throneberry/Bromback). After her mother’s tragic death when Sandi was 11, she eventually moved to Southern California. When she was 16, she was adopted by June Arensten and with that, gained 3 more loving sisters. In 1980, Sandi gave birth to her son Larry Dustin, her devoted son who cared for her until the very end. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Kopp, in 1984, and over the years welcomed 3 daughters: Mallory, Jenna, and Tessa. 

She was a wonderful, generous, compassionate mother who always put others before herself. Sandi loved animals, especially her dogs Sheka, Ukiah, and Lola; as well as jewelry making, crochet, baking, and Bruce Springsteen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie, and her siblings Michael, Susan, and Laurel. 

Sandi is survived by her adoptive mother, June, former husband, Robert, sisters Delores, Gloria, Karen, Nancy, Kelly, and Carol; as well as her children Dustin, Mallory and Eric, Jenna and Daniel, Tessa and Brian, and her grandchildren Oliver, Maple, Atlas, Toulouse, Primrose, Jayden, Ferris, Bradley, Felix, Josephine, and baby Stewart. 

Our hearts grieve for our beloved mother, but rest assured she is in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. 

Her funeral service is yet to be determined, but will be shared across platforms when it is arranged.
