Floyd Scott Maestas (Scotty) 52 years old 

On October 15, 1970 Scott entered this world and on April 17, 2023 he went home to be with the Lord. 

As a young boy scotty loved spending time with his friends and family, always looking for a good time. 

Some of the things Scotty enjoyed most were spending the night in Cripple Creek with his mom, fishing, hunting, camping, playing basketball, listening to music, dancing or just watching a good movie. Most of all he enjoyed eating his moms cooking. 

Scotty loved the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets and was an avid sports fan, However, his favorite athlete was his niece Bailey. He loved watching her play basketball. 

From the time Scotty was young he was very ambitious and motivated he started his first construction company in his 20’s and he loved being the boss. Scott was a very hard worker and enjoyed his trade. 

Family was very important to Scotty, his family was his pride and joy. Starting with his mom Nancy, father Bobby, Dad Sam, his Brothers Robby and Sammy, his sisters Devonna, Desta and Malissa, in addition to many other family members, including his nephew Ryan and his aunts Betsy and Tammy who he thought of more like sisters. 

Scotty looked up to all of his uncles and spoke of them frequently and loved all of his aunts dearly. 

Friends were also very important to Scotty. He had several life long friends that he also considered family including his best friend Jerry Sabala.

Scotty is survived by his mother Nancy McBeth, Father Robert Maestas, Dad Sam Torres, Sisters Devonna Torres and Desta Powers (Malissa Powers), his brother Sammy Torres, his niece Bailey Torres and nephew Ryan Vigil along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Scotty is proceeded in death by his brother Robert Lee Maestas “Robby”. 

Scott came to know the Lord at a very early age and was Baptized around the age of 12. Scott gave his life to the Lord and was at peace when he was called home and is reunited with his brother Robby. 

May God Give to you and all whom you love his comfort and his peace, his light and his joy, in this world and in the next; and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be upon you, and remain with you this day and forever, Amen. 

Scotty, we love you very much. You will always hold a big place in each and every one of our hearts and we know you are watching over us. 

Scotty’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Church for All Nations 6540 Templeton Gap Rd Colorado Springs, CO  80923
