Robert (Bob) Niehoff, loving husband, father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2023, following a complicated illness in Colorado Springs, CO.

Bob was born April 16, 1947, in St. Louis, MO. He studied architecture before enlisting in the US Air Force in 1968 during the Vietnam War. He later was employed by the DOD and spent most of his career as a contract analyst for US Space Command.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, son Jason (wife Jenn), daughter Sarah Colgan (husband Sean), two grandsons, Nate Niehoff and Grady Colgan, and a brother, Tom Niehoff.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Wil and Elaine Niehoff, and his older brother, Sonny.

Bob was a 4-wheel drive enthusiast and spent many years navigating trails with his many Jeeps and Jeeping friends.  He loved animals and was particularly devoted to his Golden Retrievers, Moose and Biscuit. They were also devoted to him.  The treat bin was always overflowing.

He was very proud of his grandsons and loved spending time with them. He loved Jeeping with Nate and playing checkers with Grady, who affectionately called him “Badu.”

Services will be held May 25th at 10am, at First United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs, CO, with burial at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to National Mill Dog Rescue, Peyton, CO.
