We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kenneth (Ken) Gene Basse, loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Spouse.

Kenneth passed away at age 75 on January 26th, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is joining his parents Catherine Theresa Basse and Verne Kenneth Basse. 

Kenneth is survived by his spouse Criss Grogan, daughters Wendy Basse, Cynthia James (husband Michael James), Amber Basse, and son Justin Basse (wife Jessica Basse), along with 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 stepsons Tony Jenkins and Shawn Grogan, 4 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.

Kenneth attended Adam State College and received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Business Administration. He was a hard worker who worked for many years at Safeway, Loaf-N-Jug, and a few other places.

Kenneth was a wonderful man who would do anything for his family. He loved to go fishing, camping, for drives through the city or mountains, or to the casino. Kenneth also loved working on vehicles with his father and then with his son Justin. 

Kenneth fought cancer for over 7 years and passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family.

To honor Kenneth’s life, a private family celebration of life is being held. In leu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society is his honor.
