Linda Consuelo Chavez Twilley, 72, of Albuquerque, NM and Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on December 21, 2022, from complications caused by lung disease.
Linda was born on March 18, 1950, and raised lovingly by Leo and Caroline Chavez in Albuquerque, NM. Linda had two brothers Richard and Steve Chavez. Linda graduated from Rio Grande High School in 1968. Later in life she attended TVI and received a certificate for Unit Clerk.
Linda worked for Mountain Bell and US West for many years and had many friends and people she had a positive effect on. Linda also worked at Quality Used Cars and Sunshine Buick as a receptionist.
Linda met Norman Twilley at Kirtland Air Force Base where he was stationed and they married on June 30, 1971. Linda and Norman went on to have 2 children, Kimberly and Brian. Despite divorcing in 1988 Linda and Norman worked hard to remain a family and friends. Linda remained friends with Norman and his partner until her passing.
In 2008, Linda stopped working due to health issues. She lived with her daughter and spent her time with the light of her life, best friend and ride or die, her grandson Joshua Garcia. Linda and Joshua got into shenanigans together and made lots of wonderful memories. Linda was a faithful Christian and had a strong relationship with the Lord. She had a wonderful friend and prayer warrior named Marie.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Leo and Caroline, her brother Richard Chavez as well as many other wonderful family and friends. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Campos, Brian Twilley and grandson Joshua Garcia. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Chavez, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Boulevard, Albuquerque, NM on February 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
